What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy which takes into consideration as many aspects of your life as possible and how they can be affecting your body.
The aim of osteopathy is to normalise the structure and function of the body and ensure the systems are working harmoniously together so enabling the body to work to its optimum, reduce pain and discomfort and promote the body's own self healing mechanism.
Osteopaths achieve this by using a broad range of techniques to improve mobility of the joints and relieve tension in the tissues. This will also then enhance the blood and nerve supply to the tissues.
Osteopathy is a form of treatment that can be used on all ages from the new born to the elderly and on all types of people including desk based workers, manual workers, pregnant women, children and athletes. It can be used to help a wide variety of conditions including headaches, joint pain and minor sports injuries.
If you are unsure as to whether osteopathic treatment will significantly benefit you, please feel free to enquire via email or phone.
